In this scripture, Christ forces demons to leave a man, proving that all evil spirits must obey Him. Through this exchange Jesus reveals Himself as the divine king by His authoritative work and His absolute power over all evil spirits. The lesson is to recognize Christ's authority which leads us to repentance, faith and allegiance.
