This is the start of Jesus' ministry. He tells us how to be the 'Salt of the earth and the light of the world'. Learning to grow into the relationship God wants for us.
What can we do to be saved? Micah the Old Testament prophet tells us that repentance is more than saying sorry. It is about restoring our relationship with God.
Discover what repenting means. Has it changed from ancient times to now? Who will you follow once you know the Kingdom of God has come near?
So, why do we go to church? Discover what we can learn from John the Baptist's testimony. Jesus is the lamb that sets us free from evil and death and restores our relationship with God.
Righteousness = relationship with God. Hear how John the Baptist's and Jesus' baptisms show us what righteousness means. Make your 2023 New Year's resolution to seek Jesus and experience the fullness of life Christ can give us.
Celebrate the blessings God has given us as we look forward to seeing Him work in 2023.
Each gospel writer presents the Christmas message differently than the others. Matthew presents the genealogy of Jesus, and tells of the visit of the Magi. Mark omits the story altogether and starts with Jesus' baptism. John tells the story from the beginning in Genesis where there was nothing except God. Luke tells the story that many are most familiar with - the manger scene, the shepherds, and the angels. Celebrate Jesus, our beacon of hope. The Word was made flesh to right the ancient wrongs, and to give us access to God.
Merry Christmas!
Celebrate Jesus, the light of life during this Advent season. Christ is with us now and forever.
